Diana,
Your photographs have deep shadows or blown highlights or both. I don't know which camera you use, which mode you use etc... but i could tell you one thing right away. If you want to improve your photographs, learn to control your camera and let the camera not dictate its own conditions.

I'm not a professional but i'm a very serious hobbyist.

Btw, keep shooting. It's the best way to get better at it. :-)

Nice pictures. Next time you might want to reduce the size of the pictures. They are as big as my computer screen. I had to scroll up and down to get the entire picture in view.

Keep clicking. You have a good eye.

About This Blog

"In every picture, there's a poem; In every poem, a picture."

Through this blog, I have tried to present my poetry with the lens. Am not a photographer by profession but I have a knack for portraits. I like to make window portraits - dark pictures, streets, places, faces, buildings, abstract constructions - things that can be anything you see in it.

I call it: Serendipity - the ability to discover things of value by hazard - ... a fragile, fleeting phenomenon that can be made to resonate through photography....
